Rajan’s theory challenged: inequality does not explain the credit boom


This post provide some evidence that, previous the great depression, credit boom and inequality were not correlated. The lesson that should be learned from the last crisis is that innovative financial products combined with a reversion of interest rate triggered the subprime bubble’s burst.
